We provide services that make the tax return preparation process
less taxing.
Our practice includes tax preparation and planning; assisting individual clients
with record keeping services, audit research and
representation. We also give workshops and seminars on taxes.
Tax preparation can be frustrating and sometimes nerve-wracking. Tax regulations are
some of the most complex writings ever created, and some of it gets redefined by tax
courts every month. The focus of Mendenhall Tax Services is to prepare your taxes right
the first time with as little stress as possible for our clients. We work with our clients
year-round to help make their "tax season" short and painless.
Bio
Jill was born in California. She attended both UC Santa Cruz and UC Los Angeles earning
a BS degree in 1980. After working for many years in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical
Industries she became interested in accounting then tax preparation. In 2005 Jill
passed the IRS Special Enrollment Examination, a comprehensive examination on income
taxes. In 2006 she became one of 40,000 Enrolled Agents, approximately 10% of the
400,000 tax professionals in the United States. As an Enrolled Agent that is licensed
to practice by the federal government, she can prepare income taxes
in all states and appear on behalf of the taxpayer at the IRS. For more information on Enrolled Agents click

Professional Experience
Before creating Mendenhall Tax Services, Jill worked as a staff tax preparer at
Harris myCFO and TaxMam, Inc. Harris myCFO provides tax, accounting and financial
services to high net worth individuals. TaxMam,Inc is a successful tax firm whose president, Claudia Hill MBA EA, is a renown
tax professional that is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and other publications.
Leadership
Jill is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and California Society
of Enrolled Agents (CSEA), serving on the on the CSEA Board of Directors. In 2008 she received the Enrolled Agent of the year award from
the local chapter, Mission Society of Enrolled Agents (MSEA), and Volunteer of the
Year award from the National Association of Enrolled Agents. She is currently a
member of the local chapter's Board of Directors and member of the Public Awareness
and Information Committee.
